Amenities

Your experience starts with a 5-minute walk from the main house where you are welcome to park your car. In the summer and fall seasons feel free to drive your car off-road on a simple trail right to the yurt.

We provide delicious, tested deep-country well water in the 5-gallon jug, and propane for modern BBQ for grilling under the stars. There is a sink with simple kitchen supplies such as pots and pans, plates, cutlery, and stovetop coffee maker. There is a cooler for your food and drinks. We will provide firewood during the winter months (Oct-March) for free.

There is no running water and no WiFi however, there are one or two bars of cell reception at the Yurt so you can usually squeeze text and email through. You will find better reception on any of LeTerrain’s 5 peaks. The moderate solar power is set up for lights. There is no bathroom however, you will have access to a quaint and well-kept outhouse outside of the yurt.

All you need to bring is your bedding and food and ice for the cooler!

Other amenities: cleaning products, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, smoke alarm, fire pit, outdoor furniture.

NOTE: While we do our best with regular cleaning/maintenance, from time to time a mouse may find its way in to the yurt. Please make sure your food is packed away when unattended.

Get off-grid! It’s good for the soul!

“What a fine time we had in the yurt. A day of rain slowed us to a tranquil stop at the beginning of our 5 night stay. The yurt is cozy and quickly felt like a home in the woods. Steve never let us run out of water or ice for our cooler, managing to be both discreet or on hand for any questions or tours around his land. A great host and a great experience. Get off-grid! It’s good for the soul. Ah, it’s good for your dog too.”

Disconnect from the hustle-bustle of city living.

“If you are looking for a place to disconnect from the hustle-bustle of city living, and to reconnect with the simplicity of nature, this is definitely the place for you. It's most definitely in the wilderness, so if you're not comfortable with being directly in touch with the elements, I would steer clear. But if you are a true nature lover and want to feel like snow white, chirping with the birds and the woodland critter, then your fairy tale awaits. The stars are mind-blowing and it's no joke that this may well be the darkest sky you've ever seen. Everything about this place is awesome and you're going to want to go back multiple times.”

Magical indeed!

“What an incredible 24 hours to recharge, unplug and connect to silence and nature. Such a special place ... Loved the uniqueness and warmth of yurt, the stars, the land, the howling wolfs at night. Magical indeed! Steve is a beautiful, genuine host and is so proud of his property. We were greeted by big smiles and all the info we needed. So grateful for his kindness from our first communication. Hard to leave and can't wait to return. Loved the look of the new cabin too! Amazing. Thank you!”
