When the lights go out, the stars turn on! We have the darkest skies with the brightest stars. Our first star gazing cabin is designed and placed for optimal dark sky experience on LeTerrain's 430-acre wilderness sanctuary.

Amenities
You can drive right in and park at Stargate. Your cabins is set up and ready for you.
The loft is made for two and is a super cozy spot to sleep under the 4-foot by 4-foot skylight. The 12V lighting options are a treat. Well-positioned for the best of vibes.
There is a bathroom with a modern eco toilet.
We provide delicious, tested deep-country well water in the 5-gallon jug, propane for the stovetop, BBQ, and heater. There is everything you need in the kitchen, simple pots and pans, plates, cutlery and stovetop coffee maker. There is a wood stove in the cabin as well and a cooler for your food and drinks. We will provide firewood during the winter months (Oct-March) for 20$/night.
There is no running water and no WiFi however, there are one or two bars of cell reception at the cabin so you can usually squeeze text and email through. You will find better reception on any of LeTerrain’s 5 peaks. The moderate solar power is set up for lights.
All you need to bring is your bedding and food and ice for the cooler!
Other amenities: cleaning products, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, smoke alarm, fire pit, outdoor furniture.
NOTE: Although the cabin is perfectly set up and very comfortable and cosy, you may see a mouse! Keep your food packed away at night.

“This place is beautiful. Such a great way to get away, disconnect and enjoy all that nature has to offer. Stargate was exactly as advertised, a quaint, rustic cabin with everything you need. We were lucky to have a couple of clear nights and sleeping under the stars was amazing! The surrounding trails and views were beautiful, and our dogs thoroughly enjoyed the freedom of the 450 acre land. Steve was an amazing host, who was always available for questions or concerns, and even gave us suggestions on our walk to check out a particular view. This was our second stay on Le Terrain and it most certainly won't be our last - we look forward to our next getaway!”

Finalizing Stargate 1
We built our third cabin at LeTerrain this winter. This is the first cabin designed and placed for optimal stargazing. This is a sneak peek at putting up the walls, roof, and windows in a one week build. We left the 4'x4' skylight to be installed with the tin roof this spring. Framed using rough cut pine from the land and milled just down the road. Rafter support beam cut out of the smaller 100-year-old barn on the land. It turned out beautifully and the winter build was actually a lot of fun.
